ArchSoc’s 21st Birthday Celebrations
At 1.05pm on the 10th of March 1992, the inaugural general meeting of the Flinders University Archaeology Society was held. Since then, the Flinders ArchSoc has been an important peer support network for hundreds of archaeology students. It is with great pleasure that I invite you to help celebrate the 21st birthday of the Flinders University Archaeological Society on the 1st of November at the Edinburgh Hotel, Mitcham. Hurry, tickets are limited!
A glance at the past executive and member list for this organisation shows that many of our members have gone on to become leading practitioners and academics in Australian archaeology. We hope that our past and present members, honorary life members, current Flinders archaeology students, and academic staff, professional staff and industry partners of the School of Humanities will join us to celebrate the success of the Society in this reunion-style celebration.
Details of the event are below. The night will include brief speeches from invited guests and all attendees will receive a special gift from ArchSoc at the end of the night. Entertainment on the night will be provided by singer/songwriter Sofie Bozzetti.

Historical Adelaide Quiz Night

The folks of the Flinders Archaeological Society cordially invite you to join them on a night of quizzical fun, and fun quizzicals with a generous spread of rounds, games, and prizes for the victors! A raffle will also be drawn on the night, with tickets available for purchase also on the night.
This year, we would like to celebrate Adelaide’s rich history with a theme of HISTORIC ADELAIDE. Come dressed in your best attire relating Adelaide’s history and you could win the prize for BEST COSTUME of the night! Don’t worry though: only one of our rounds will focus on the history of Adelaide, so don your dapper hats, lads and ladies, and prepare to be thoroughly amused!

Tickets will be available for pick-up at the time of the event. Teams may consist of a maximum 8 people. BYO food to share between your table! Unfortunately, BYO drinks are not allowed, but all drinks can be purchased at the bar – please support the RSL. A number of stalls will be organised at uni for ticket purchase – keep an eye out for email announcements. PayPal options available below – be sure you click the appropriate button!

DIRECTIONS: Colonel Light Gardens may be confusing, but the RSL is not far from the main road (Goodwood Road) and public transport. For those taking public transport, the buses to take are the G10, G10A, G10B, G20, or the 200 – each bus will require a short walk from their respective stops (5 minute max).

Shirt orders are now closed. We will have the order one week out from the pub crawl and we will be handing them out on campus (time and date TBA). You must pick your shirt up prior to the event, we will not be handing them out on the night. Thanks everyone!
The Crawl will be held on Saturday May the 4th, from 8pm-midnight.
We’ve been busy little bees, and are pleased to say that all of the details are available, namely the pubs, drink specials and the shirts – you may find them below. Some food will be provided at the first put at 8pm, but we still suggest that you have something to eat before you attend.
